Ryan is an award winning documentary Photographer who's perspective is developing through various social, political and humanitarian projects. One such example, he ventured into the depths of the migrant crisis in Calais, France in 2016. Ryan documented behind the scenes as the only photojournalist to gain access in to the undisclosed locations in 2016. But more recently he is influenced and by the people around him, the culture he interacts with in the places he lives. Ryan uses his camera to respond to reality, to people, places and Events, and there is certainly a lot more than what meets the eye in his work, Ryan writes extensively about his photographs and with this context he highlights the foundational layers which are woven into his perspective. After graduating from the university of Gloucestershire with a BA in Photojournalism and Documentary photography, he has discovered and is exploring the individuals and environments that create the Hip Hop subculture in the South West of the UK.
